Understanding Fibromyalgia:

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that affects the central nervous system, leading to widespread pain, tenderness, and other symptoms. It often coexists with sleep disturbances, fatigue, and emotional distress, creating a complex and challenging experience for those affected.

Common Characteristics of Fibromyalgia:

  • Widespread Pain: Pain and tenderness in multiple areas of the body, often accompanied by aching or burning sensations.

  • Fatigue: Persistent feelings of tiredness and exhaustion, even after rest or sleep.

  • Sleep Disturbances: Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or achieving restorative sleep.

  • Cognitive Challenges: Often referred to as "fibro fog," this involves difficulties with concentration, memory, and mental clarity.

  • Sensitivity to Stimuli: Increased sensitivity to touch, sound, light, and temperature changes.

Recognizing Symptoms:

Identifying the symptoms of fibromyalgia is crucial for a holistic and individualized approach to care:

  • Widespread Pain: Discomfort and tenderness in specific areas of the body, often affecting both sides.

  • Fatigue: Persistent and unexplained fatigue that interferes with daily activities.

  • Sleep Disturbances: Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up feeling unrefreshed.

WHO WE TREAT

Here is the simple answer; just about anyone.  Over my career and training, I have continuously added on to the number treatment techniques and methods I use for patient care in the office.  This allows me to work on more complicated and difficult cases many chiropractors avoid.

DOCTOR Q&A

Meet Dr. Kyle Kopicki!

When were you first introduced to chiropractic? Age 9

Did you grow up in the area? Yes, I grew up in Pottstown and Douglassville

What is your education? I went to Shippensburg University for my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. I got my Chiropractic Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

How long have you been practicing? I started my practice in 2013

Can you help me? Most of the time, YES! The best way for me to answer that question is to schedule a new patient appointment with me first!

FINAL NOTE

Reading all of the above may still leave you with answers as to whether or not a person with your condition can receive care. The BEST way to determine this is to simply schedule a new patient consultation and examination in the office. During this visit we will be able to determine if you are a candidate to receive care in the office and in what ways we can help.
