Sometimes Your Muscles Just Need Some Attention

Who doesn't love a good massage?

We offer 30, 60, and 90-minute massages with licensed massage therapists right here in our office.

Some people schedule massage because they're sore, tight, or dealing with an injury. Others use it as part of their chiropractic treatment. And some people just want an hour to relax.

You do not need to be a chiropractic patient to schedule a massage with us.

Massage and Chiropractic Work Great Together

I often explain musculoskeletal problems as having two components: the joint and the muscles around it.

Chiropractic adjustments focus more on improving movement in the joint. Massage focuses more on the muscles and other soft tissues surrounding that area.

That's why the two can work really well together.

If I'm treating someone for a back, neck, shoulder, or other musculoskeletal problem, I can communicate with our massage therapists about what we're working on and what areas may need some extra attention.

Instead of two completely separate providers guessing what the other is doing, we're all right here in the same office.

That doesn't mean everyone needs both chiropractic and massage. Some patients do great with chiropractic alone. Some come only for massage. Others like combining the two.

What makes our office nice is that you have options.

Massage Doesn't Have to Be About an Injury

Not every massage needs a medical reason.

You might sit at a computer all week and carry tension in your neck and shoulders. You might work a physical job and feel sore by Friday. Maybe you've been working out hard, playing sports, golfing, traveling, or just dealing with everyday stress.

Or maybe you simply enjoy getting a massage.

That's reason enough.

Our massage therapists can adjust the session based on what you're looking for, whether that's focusing on a particular problem area or simply having a relaxing massage.

Choose the Massage That Fits Your Schedule

30-Minute Massage

A good option when you want to concentrate on a specific area or don't have time for a longer session.

60-Minute Massage

Our standard full massage session and a good choice for most people.

90-Minute Massage

More time allows the therapist to work on multiple areas without feeling rushed. This can be a good option if you have several problem areas or simply want a longer massage.

Not sure which one to schedule? Call or text us and we'll help you decide.

What Can Massage Help With?

People schedule massage for all kinds of reasons, including:

  • Muscle tightness and soreness
  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Back discomfort
  • Sports and exercise-related soreness
  • Tight muscles from sitting or working at a computer
  • Soreness from physical jobs
  • General muscle tension
  • Recovery between workouts or activities
  • Relaxation and stress relief

You don't need to figure out exactly what type of massage you need before scheduling.

Tell your massage therapist what's bothering you and what you want out of the session, and they can adjust the massage accordingly.

What About the Massage Tables?

We also have two intersegmental massage tables in the office: an ATT-300 and a Verteflex table.

These aren't the same thing as getting a hands-on massage from one of our massage therapists.

You lie on the table while rollers move underneath you along the spine. The pressure, treatment area, and treatment time can be adjusted based on your comfort.

We primarily use these as another treatment option for patients in the office.

If you've never used one before, think of it as a completely different type of massage experience than a traditional massage.
