KNEE PAIN
Welcome to Keep it Kinetic Chiropractic, where your journey to musculoskeletal well-being begins. In this exploration, we focus on an intricate joint that plays a pivotal role in your mobility – the knee. Understanding the origins of knee injuries, their common causes, and the holistic chiropractic approach we offer at Keep it Kinetic will guide you towards a life free from knee pain.
Understanding Knee Pain:
The knee is a complex joint connecting the thigh bone, shin bone, and kneecap. It facilitates essential movements like walking, running, and jumping. Knee injuries can result from a variety of causes, affecting individuals of all ages and activity levels.
Common Causes of Knee Injuries:
Sprains and Strains: Overexertion, sudden twists, or improper landing can lead to ligament sprains or muscle strains, causing pain and instability.
Tendonitis: Inflammation of the tendons surrounding the knee due to overuse or repetitive stress can result in localized pain and swelling.
Meniscus Tears: The meniscus, a rubbery cartilage that acts as a cushion between the bones, can tear due to sudden twisting or aging, leading to pain and limited mobility.
Arthritis: Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis can affect the knee joint, causing pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion.
Recognizing Symptoms:
Identifying the early signs of knee injuries is vital for prompt intervention and effective treatment:
Pain and Swelling: Persistent pain, swelling, or tenderness around the knee area may indicate an underlying issue.
Difficulty in Movement: Limited range of motion, stiffness, or difficulty in bending or straightening the knee may suggest joint or muscle involvement.
Clicking or Popping Sounds: Audible sounds during movement could indicate issues with the ligaments, tendons, or cartilage.

FINAL NOTE
Reading all of the above may still leave you with answers as to whether or not a person with your condition can receive care. The BEST way to determine this is to simply schedule a new patient consultation and examination in the office. During this visit we will be able to determine if you are a candidate to receive care in the office and in what ways we can help.
