VERTIGO

Welcome to Keep it Kinetic Chiropractic, where your musculoskeletal health is our primary concern. In this exploration, we address the disorienting and often distressing sensation of vertigo—a condition that disrupts your sense of balance and spatial orientation. Understanding the intricate connections between the inner ear, the nervous system, and the spine, and the personalized chiropractic approach we offer at Keep it Kinetic, will guide you toward relief, resilience, and optimal balance.

Understanding Vertigo:

Vertigo is characterized by a false sense of spinning or rotational movement, often accompanied by dizziness, nausea, and imbalance. This sensation can result from issues within the inner ear, disturbances in the vestibular system, or problems with the central nervous system.

Common Causes of Vertigo:

  • Inner Ear Disorders: Conditions such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), Meniere's disease, or labyrinthitis can affect the inner ear's function, leading to vertigo.

  • Vestibular Migraines: Certain types of migraines can cause vertigo as a primary symptom.

  • Neck or Spine Misalignments: Subluxations or misalignments in the cervical spine can impact nerve function and contribute to vertigo.

  • Inflammation: Inflammation in the inner ear or nerves connecting the inner ear to the brain can disrupt the vestibular system.

Recognizing Symptoms:

  • Spinning Sensation: A false sensation of spinning or rotational movement, often triggered by changes in head position.

  • Dizziness: Feeling lightheaded, unsteady, or having a sensation of floating.

  • Nausea and Vomiting: Vertigo can be accompanied by nausea and, in severe cases, vomiting.

  • Imbalance: Difficulty maintaining balance, leading to an increased risk of falls.

WHO WE TREAT

Here is the simple answer; just about anyone.  Over my career and training, I have continuously added on to the number treatment techniques and methods I use for patient care in the office.  This allows me to work on more complicated and difficult cases many chiropractors avoid.

FINAL NOTE

Reading all of the above may still leave you with answers as to whether or not a person with your condition can receive care. The BEST way to determine this is to simply schedule a new patient consultation and examination in the office. During this visit we will be able to determine if you are a candidate to receive care in the office and in what ways we can help.
